Kiana Davenport is a
prize-winning author whose recent works include the Pacific Stories series and
The Spy Lover, all published by Thomas and Mercer.
Kiana has previously won
O. Henry Awards, Pushcart Prizes, and the Best American Short Story Award of
2000 for her novels.
Pacific Stories is a
three-part work comprising House of Skin (2010), Pacific Nights (2011) and Opium
Dreams (2012). Each volume contains a series of short stories, which take place
on various Pacific Islands from Hawaii to Australia. They are at times tales of
love, but many come from a darker place, with some shockingly evocative
content.
Not for the
